Taweret is an Egyptian goddess associated with protection, fertility, and birth. Depicted as a hybrid figure with the body of a hippopotamus, the paws of a lion, and the tail of a crocodile, she symbolizes strength and maternal protection. She was believed to protect pregnant women and newborns from danger and evil spirits. She was also linked to water and primordial chaos, connecting with regeneration and balance. In some traditions, she is associated with the star Sirius and with cosmic energies of renewal.
